During the Second Manchu aggression of Korea in 1636, a village is attacked by Manchurian soldiers. They abduct Ja-In on her wedding day with her childhood sweetheart Seo-Goon. Her brother Nam-Yi, a skilled archer and hunter, returns to the hamlet and learns his sister was kidnapped into vassalage. Nam-Yi has a tragic past time; as children he and Ja-In witnessed their progenitor being betrayed and executed by King Injo and at that time they were raised by Seo-Goon's beget. Ja-In was sold to Prince Dorgon whose abettor, Jyusthina, is his best archer, body leader and commands an elite power of warriors.
